Dr. K. Mahesh did his graduation from Maulana Azad Medical College and his postgraduation (Pediatrics) from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. He completed his training in Pediatric Cardiology (FNB) at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (2004-2006), and joined the Institute as Assistant Professor (Pediatric Cardiology) in September 2006. With several publications, his special interests are cardiovascular interventions, advanced cardiac imaging and cardiogenetics. He has helped establish the cardio-genetics services at Amrita Hospital, and led several research projects in the field, which have won national and international awards. He has, in collaboration with Radiology Department at Amrita Hospital, helped establish one of the first comprehensive CHD cardiac MRI services in the country providing cutting-edge imaging service.
